Since February, I have been supporting the curation team of the project „Wie geht es dir? Zeichnerinnen gegen Antisemitismus, Hass und Rassismus“, around the founders Hanna Brinkmann, Nathalie Frank, Michael Jordan, Moritz Stetter, Birgit Weyhe and Barbara Yelin and accompanied by Véronique Sina (University of Frankfurt) and the cooperation partner Cultural Office Erlangen with Bodo Birk and Annika Gloystein. Over the last few months, we have discussed and curated around 60 contributions. They are all visible on the → project website and on → instagram. These days, the project will come to a close online with Magdalena Kaszuba’s contribution.

A preliminary highlight was the → exhibition of the contributions published to date at the → 21st Erlangen International Comic Salon. The works were brought into the room. You could also see original drawings and making-of of some interview comics. It was nice to see how much attention the works received and how they were the starting point for many conversations that began with an open and honest (and) „Wie geht es dir?“. We were also able to talk about the project’s work and concerns in a panel discussion moderated by Lars von Törne.

I had the pleasure of interviewing → Burak Yilmaz and Mirjam Wenzel, the director of the → Jewish Museum in Frankfurt. My heartfelt thanks go to them. Thank you for your openness, trust, echoing thoughts and, complementary perspectives. Thanks to the whole „Wie geht es dir?“ team for the valuable and supportive experiences over the last few months. For all the conversations and everything I have learned through and in our collaboration.

We are delighted with the response the project continues to receive. And it’s good to know that the idea of the project is being carried forward through exhibitions (stay tuned!) and workshops. In spring, the comic contributions will also be published by → avant-Verlag. That’s great, and it means that all the comics can be read again at your leisure. And I’m sure there’s one question that needs to be asked honestly in order to keep the dialog alive: Wie geht es dir?

Seit Februar unterstütze ich das Kurationsteam des Projektes „Wie geht es dir? Zeichnerinnen gegen Antisemitismus, Hass und Rassismus“, rund um die GründerInnen Hanna Brinkmann, Nathalie Frank, Michael Jordan, Moritz Stetter, Birgit Weyhe und Barbara Yelin. Begleitet von Véronique Sina (Universität Frankfurt) und der Kooperationspartner Kulturamt Erlangen mit Bodo Birk und Annika Gloystein. In den letzten Monaten haben wir um die 60 Beiträge diskutiert und kuratiert. Sie alle sind sichtbar auf der → Website des Projektes und auf → Instagram noch einmal nachzulesen. Gerade findet das Projekt online mit dem Beitrag von Magdalena Kaszuba einen Schlusspunkt.

Ein vorläufiger Höhepunkt war die → Ausstellung der bis dato publizierten Beiträge im Rahmen des → 21. Internationalen Comic-Salon Erlangen. Dort wurden die Arbeiten in den Raum gebracht. Außerdem dort zu ausgestellt waren Originalzeichnungen und das Making-Of einiger Interviewcomics. Es war schön zu sehen, welch eine Aufmerksamkeit die Arbeiten bekommen haben und wie sie Ausgangspunkt für viele Gespräche waren, die mit einem offenen und ehrlichen (und) „Wie geht es dir?“ begannen. Zudem konnten wir im Rahmen eines von Lars von Törne moderierten Podiumsgesprächs über Einblicke in die Arbeit und das Anliegen des Projektes sprechen.

Ich selbst durfte in diesem Rahmen → Burak Yilmaz und Mirjam Wenzel, die Direktorin des → Jüdischen Museums in Frankfurt interviewen. Ihnen gilt mein herzlicher Dank. Danke für die Offenheit, das Vertrauen, Gedanken, die nachhallen und Sichtweisen, die sich ergänzen. Danke auch an das ganze „Wie geht es dir?“-Team für die so wertvollen und unterstützenden Erfahrungen in den letzten Monaten. Für alle Gespräche und alles was ich durch und in der Zusammenarbeit lernen durfte.

Wir freuen uns darüber, welche Resonanz das Projekt weiter erfährt. Und es ist gut zu wissen, dass die Idee des Projektes durch Ausstellungen (stay tuned!) und Workshops weiter getragen wird. Im Frühjahr werden die Comicbeiträge außerdem im → avant-Verlag erscheinen. Das ist großartig, und so können alle Comics noch einmal in der Zusammenschau in Ruhe nachgelesen werden. Und ich bin mir sicher, es gibt eine Frage, die weiter aufrichtig gestellt werden muss, um den Dialog lebendig zu halten: Wie geht es dir?
